Our Dream Project
Our Dream Projects:
Inagoration of Srikrishna Goushala A small Donation from you can help us to grow further.
(i) SREE KRISHNAYAN GOUSHALA: Goshala, a Sanskrit word ("Go" means cow and "Shala" means a shelter place. Go+Shala = Shelter for cows), means the abode or sanctuary for cows, calves. A Part from providing sanctuary, the Goushala also rescues the animals destined for illegal slaughter.
The proposed Goushala is a dream project for PLHIV of South 24 Parganas, West Bengal. The project shall be initiated in Canning area, where we shall start building one cow shelter, and will protect cows from getting slaughtered. Along with that, cows with disabilities & diseases will also be brought back in our goushala for treatment.
Another major achievement of the proposed project shall be livelihood program. The people living with HIV/AIDS are one of the marginalized parts of the society. Different research showed that after the people came to know about the positive status of HIV, most of them suffer from extreme mental depression and sometimes got involved into suicidal attempts. This situation gets triggered when it comes to the knowledge of their neighborhood. This is the most critical phase they have to face as most of the time they got abandoned from their society as well as from other family members. Next comes the economic crisis phase. Research reveals the fact that after knowing the HIV positive status, most of them lose their jobs or suffers from extreme criticism which made them to quit their source of income. In this situation minimal livelihood expenses are become critical to layout, specifically to provide food to their children. Our Goushala can provide income generating opportunities for approximately PLHIV 50 families at the beginning.

(ii) CANNING PLHIV LIVELIHOOD & TRAINIG CENTRE:
(iii) ALOR DISHA CLHIV HOME: This is a major project focused to eradicate psychological and social stigma of the children living with HIV/AIDS under three major districts (South 24 Parganas, Kolkata & Howrah) of West Bengal through empowering them by providing Education, Nutrition and other technical knowledge and training. Our humble request to the funding agency is that; please provide the minimal support as per your capacity to fulfil this aspiration of those children , struggling every days of their life to survive in this world with smile.
Study showed that children living with HIV/AIDS or affected by HIV/AIDS are refused entry to schools or often isolated as school friends dissociate with them. The affected children are also ridiculed, attacked and beaten by their peers. It has also been reported that HIV/AIDS affected children find it difficult to access care and support due to negative attitudes by health care providers and other service and support workers. It also noted that stigma can affect children indirectly when caregivers (e.g. parents) suffer from the effects of stigma and discrimination; or when children and/or parents take certain course of action like withdrawal to avoid expected stigma and discrimination. The goal of the proposed project is to eliminate the basic crisis situation of the children living with HIV/AIDS by providing them One Shelter Home, where they can get required Psychological counselling, nutritional support, Education & Sports training and other assistances to help them grew up properly as like other normal children around them. Also to spread awareness that these children can be successful in different sectors like sports, academics and so on, if they get some sympathetic support from the society.
